Malamo cottage on the beautiful island of Limnos

My family has a summer cottage in Limnos which they are renting out this summer. Limnos is an island in northern Greece which can be reached by boat from Kavala or Lavrio, or by plane from Europe or mainland Greece. It stands out from other islands as it is relatively untouched by tourism, giving is a remote, wild feel. It also has fantastic beaches, lots of wild birds and opportunities to wind surf. Locals make really good organic wines and there is also the freshest and tastiest fish I have ever eaten!

Black and White kitty!

The black and white kitten (Thimios) is leaving on Saturday for his new home and probably his new name! He looked so cute sleeping this morning that I couldn't resist taking a few photos of him!

I've been getting a few emails asking me about the neighborhood where I am based in Athens - here are a few photos...

SALE on TOTES in my ETSY SHOP

Hi - I have a SALE on tote bags in my etsy shop. They are all limited edition print runs and they have been screen printed with eco friendly paints by Me! Less than ten of each design left so grab yours while you still can!!!
The bags are perfect for use as a beach bag, preschool bag or to store extra stuff in and are screen printed by me with eco water based child friendly inks onto a 100% natural cotton tote bag.

The bag is strong enough to carry around books or groceries and is 17" tall and 15" wide (43cm x 38cm) with long handles that fit perfectly over the shoulder.

Spring has well and truly arrived in Athens and with it has come lots of surprises -  my cat Nina had kittens and it is almost a full time job finding them good homes here! I have also vowed to update the blog more regularly and show more of the neighborhood where I live as well as new designs - but for starters here are Nina's kittens:

"Presenting...Dio"

After numerous visits where Dio neglected to make an appearance, I finally got lucky and managed to take some photos of Dio! The lady in the pictures is Dio's 'owner' or better to say the main person who takes care of Dio, as Dio is a street cat and doesn't really have an owner.
I'd like to thank everyone (on Dio's behalf) who helped raise money for Dio's operation and aftercare by buying a tote bag, donating money, re-posting or helping to spread the word!

Apart from a slightly wonky face - Dio is totally recovered, she can eat normally and do all the stuff that she enjoyed doing before her accident. She lives in a colony of cats in the Athens neighbourhood of Petralona which is not such a bad place to live as I live there myself...

Hello Sunshine

Hello... I'm back in Athens, not a grey cloud in sight and it's still nice and warm! Photos of Dio will be posted up soon. I went to visit her and she is doing great.
